Experience the World’s Largest Dome of Peace

A living site of Interreligious peace and dialogue, the World Peace Dome constructed at the picturesque Vishwarajbaug, Pune, is not only the largest dome in the world but a living heritage of harmonious amalgamation of eastern spiritual peace and western scientific wisdom exemplifying the ethos of  ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ – ‘The World is One family. The magnificent structure with 160 ft. diameter and 263 ft height contains 54 larger-than-life-size bronze statues of many outstanding Saints, Scientists and Philosophers from Saint Dnyaneshwar to Albert Einstein. It is an embodiment of establishing a culture of peace and sustainable development that are at the heart of UNESCO’s mandate.

The Architectural Grandeur

This beautiful 160 ft. diameter and 263 ft. Height Domed Structure contains 54 larger- than-life-size bronze statues of some of the greatest Saints, Scientists & Philosophers in the history of mankind. It is presently known to be ‘World’s Largest Dome’ and rests only on 24 Pillars. The ‘World Peace Prayer Hall’ above can accommodate 3000 People and the ‘World Peace Library’ covers an expanse of 62500 Sq.ft. There are key facets like 7 Chakras in Meditation Centre, 12 Pillars and 108 Pillars that are part of this magnificent monument and stand for something that is more significant.

CONCEPT TO CREATION

Conceptualised, Designed, Planned and Created under the guidance and supervision of Visionary Educationist and Proponent of Peace- Prof. Dr. Vishwanath Karad, this WORLD PEACE Monument is dedicated to the Public to be a ‘Centre of Wisdom, Knowledge Dissemination and Social Transformation. The Saint Shri Dnyaneshwara World Peace Prayer Hall & World Peace Library aspires to educate the Masses at large and thereby help in establishing a Harmonious and Peace Loving Society. The ‘World Peace Dome’ practices the philosophy of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’- ‘The World as one Family’- A Global Village.

The Legacy of Greatness cast in Bronze

From the ancient monoliths to the most delicate David carved by Michelangelo, statues serve to remind us of either the men who they represent or the idea that the men represented! The World Peace Dome is adorned with 54 such jewels of humanity who have helped create Civilization and forward thought as we know it.
